Widening the horizons of 'evidence': nutrition and disease in ecological perspective

, : Widening the horizons of 'evidence': nutrition and disease in ecological perspective. SAJCN South African Journal of Clinical Nutrition 18(2): 140-142, 144-146, 148

This article addresses the challenges in nutritional epidemiological research (four basic methodological difficulties and other health-related research questions). It is concluded that a range of study designs is needed to address the diverse questions about health consequences of combinations of foods and nutrients, and the timing and duration of their consumption.
