, : Anatomy and histology of vomeronasal organ in an Iranian native breed of sheep. Indian Veterinary Journal 83(2): 200-204

An investigation was conducted to study the anatomy and histology of the vomeronasal organ (VNO) in Iranian fat-tailed Lori breed of sheep. Twenty one randomly chosen samples of head were evaluated for morphological dimensions at different parts of the VNO. H and E stained serial sections at 5-7 micro m were prepared from five samples followed by fixation in 10% formalin, decalcification using nitric acid and processing for paraffin embedding.
