Proof of STEC of fecal samples collected from free-ranging wild ruminants

, : Proof of STEC of fecal samples collected from free-ranging wild ruminants. Fleischwirtschaft 86(4): 93-96

A total of 56 faecal samples collected from free-ranging wild ruminants during the deer hunting season and 20 cumulative faecal samples from wild ruminants in a deer park were examined for the presence of Shiga-toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC). After selective enrichment, Stx-positive samples were identified by means of ELISA and PCR.
