Study on the photosynthetic dynamic variation of Phyllostachys edulis

, : Study on the photosynthetic dynamic variation of Phyllostachys edulis. Forest Research, Beijing 18(5): 551-555

The temporal variation of the net photosynthetic rate in Phyllostachys edulis was determined using Li-6400. The annual variation of chlorophyll content was also studied. Results showed that the diurnal variation of net photosynthetic rate (Pn) changed with season: bimodality in summer and autumn and single peak curve in winter and spring. Partly closed stoma was the main reason for the photosynthetic midday depression in summer and autumn.
