A total synthesis of racemic anhydrocannabisativine

, : A total synthesis of racemic anhydrocannabisativine. Tetrahedron 44(11): 3365-3372

Racemic anhydrocannabisativine has been efficiently synthesized starting with a .beta.-lactam-imino ether coupling reaction. A key step in the formation of the tetrahydropyridine moiety of anhydrocannabisativine is a stereoselective intramolecular conjugate addition of the N-11 amino group to a Z,E-dienone.
