Amino acid sequence of the fc region of a canine immuno globulin m interspecies homology for the immuno globulin m class

, : Amino acid sequence of the fc region of a canine immuno globulin m interspecies homology for the immuno globulin m class. Science (Washington D C) 200(4346): 1159-1161

The amino acid structure for the Fc portion of a canine immunoglobulin .mu. chain was determined. The sequence was compared with those of 2 human .mu. chains, and a high degree of interspecies homology was observed. The preservation of primary structure between species is probably reflective of the unique functions associated with the immunoglobulin M class.
