Analysis of dermatoglyphic data methodological considerations

, : Analysis of dermatoglyphic data methodological considerations. Biometrie Humaine 15(1-2): 3-16

Dermatoglyphics are used for studying [human] variability with regard to many traits. The nature of the scales used to determine these traits is studied in connection with the biometrical methods which should be used to analyze them. The problems set by the study of intrapopulation variability, regional variability and world variability are reviewed.
