Caja quinone a new anthra quinone from cajanus cajan

, : Caja quinone a new anthra quinone from cajanus cajan. Indian Journal of Chemistry Section B Organic Chemistry Including Medicinal Chemistry 17(1): 88-89

The benzene extract of the root bark of C. cajan yielded a new anthraquinone derivative, cajaquinone, was formulated as 3,6-dihydroxy-1-methoxy-7-methyl-9,10-anthraquinone on the basis of spectral and chemical evidences. This is the 1st report of the isolation of a quinone in the monotypic genus Cajanus.
