Effect of nitrogen fertilization on maturity seed yield and quality in rice

, : Effect of nitrogen fertilization on maturity seed yield and quality in rice. Seed Research (New Delhi) 12(2): 47-50

In an investigation to evaluate the effect of Nitrogen nutrition and maturity on seed yield and quality attributes in rice (cv. Tellahamsa), maximum 1000-seed wt was recorded at 30 DAF [days after 50% flowering] and maximum germinability at 25 DAF. N levels failed to exert significant influence on seed germination, whereas maturity stages and interaction of N with maturity stages exhibited significant influence. Heavy doses of N tended to increase seed yields at delayed harvests. The results are discussed in the light of delayed maximum tillering stage under high N levels.

Flexible goal choice and pursuit are not exclusively conscious, and therefore cogni...
