Effect of various forms of nitrogen and bacterization on the growth and development of soybeans under sterile experimental conditions

, : Effect of various forms of nitrogen and bacterization on the growth and development of soybeans under sterile experimental conditions. Soobshcheniya Akademii Nauk Gruzinskoi SSR 82(1): 197-200

The toxicity of the full rate of ammonia N decreased due to the activity of the nodule bacteria; the plant developed better and the length of the plant and root, as well as the weight of aboveground mass and roots achieved considerable size. Bacterization favored a better development of soybean and substantially increased the yield when 1/5 ammonia N and full and 1/5 rates of nitrate N were applied. Optimum growth and development of plants and bacterial activity were obtained by the application of 40 mg of nitrate N.
