Effects of bacillus thuringiensis h 14 endotoxins on the development of the frog rana temporaria l

, : Effects of bacillus thuringiensis h 14 endotoxins on the development of the frog rana temporaria l. Acta Facultatis Rerum Naturalium Universitatis Comenianae Zoologia (30): 21-26

The side effects of low levels of lyophilized endotoxins from Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis serotype H-14 (BTI) on the development of the frog Rana temporaria L. were studied. A low concentration of BTI (10 mg .cntdot. l-1) markedly lowered the weight of treated as compared with untreated animals and delayed by 4 days the course of metamorphosis. But individuals that had undergone metamorphosis in the experimental and control groups (at 100% metamorphosis) had the same biological properties.
