Experience with the treatment of patients with nonrheumatic myo carditis

, : Experience with the treatment of patients with nonrheumatic myo carditis. Kardiologiya 23(5): 56-59

A combined treatment and long-term follow-up of 100 patients with nonrheumatic myocarditis are reported. The assessment of clinical symptoms, ECG, PCG [phonocardiograph] and X-ray findings indicated no progress in the treatment of this disease and prolonged compromise of the patient's exercise capacity. Evidently, the conventional treatment for myocarditis is not adequate, and further profound research of the disease's pathogenesis is needed.
