Experimental study on the typhoid component in mixed intradermal typhoid tetanus smallpox vaccination

, : Experimental study on the typhoid component in mixed intradermal typhoid tetanus smallpox vaccination. Revista de Igiena Bacteriologie Virusologie Parazitologie Epidemiologie Pneumoftiziologie Seria Bacteriologia Virusologia Parazitologia Epidemiologia 32(4): 325-330

A study was carried out on the possibility of administering by intradermal route, using the Dermojet, of a typhoid vaccine concomitantly with a concentrated non-adsorbed tetanus vaccine and a soluble fraction of Vaccinia virus extract. The results demonstrated the inocuity of this immunoprophylactic complex and unaltered maintenance of the immunizing effect of the typhoid vaccine, which protected the laboratory animal both actively and passively against experimental infection, with increase in the specific O and H and Vi agglutinin titre.
