How to reduce the information gap between research and implementation

, : How to reduce the information gap between research and implementation. Vatten 42(4): 280-284

The information gap between research and praxis is analysed with a background of the ongoing segmentation and specialization of human knowledge. The genesis of the information gap is analysed and applied on the Swedish water administration and Swedish water research. A way for reduction of the information gap is indicated in increased co-operation and interaction between researchers and decision-makers. From a deep and intensive interaction process the researchers gain new and interesting praxis-oriented research problems and an efficient implementation of new research results.
