Potamogeton lucens, Polygonum amphibium, Phragmites communis, Gloeotrichia intermedia, Bulbochaete sp., Mougeotia sp., Oedogonium sp., Spirogyra sp., Zygnema sp., Chironomus plumosus, Procladius sp., Potamothrix hammoniensis, Limnodrilus hoffmeisteri, Pisidium casertanum, P. henslowanum, Valvata piscinalis, Psammoryctides barbatus and Stylatia lacustris were studied. The mechanical action of waves was one of the leading factors limiting distribution of higher aquatic vegetation over the entire bottom of Kubenskoye Lake, Vologda Oblast [USSR] and limiting development of the periphyton and zoobenthos in individual parts.
