Induced poly genic variation in fruit length of abelmoschus esculentus with different mutagens

, : Induced poly genic variation in fruit length of abelmoschus esculentus with different mutagens. Geobios (Jodhpur) 4(5): 179-182

The effects of .gamma. rays, ethylmethane sulfonate [EMS] and diethyl sulfate caused a decrease in mean fruit length of A. esculentus, in all treatments except in 18 h EMS in M1 generation. In M2 generation this decreased with dose increase. Variance in fruit length increased at lower doses but decreased with dose increase.
