, : Infection of neo natal and adult mice with nonpassaged influenza viruses. Archives of Virology 65(1): 77-82

In contrast to adult mouse influenza, infection of neonates with nonpassaged influenza viruses (7a and 64c) resulted in approximately 50% mortality. Virus predominated in the upper respiratory tract though the neonatal lung infection was greater than in adults.
