Influence of uv radiation on the diurnal variations of calcium ii and magnesium ii ion levels in the hypothalamus of mice joined by parabiosis

, : Influence of uv radiation on the diurnal variations of calcium ii and magnesium ii ion levels in the hypothalamus of mice joined by parabiosis. Bulletin de l'Academie Polonaise des Sciences Serie des Sciences Biologiques 29(1-2): 73-80

The influence of UV radiation was studied on the diurnal variations of Ca2+ and Mg2+ ion levels in the hypothalamus of mice joined by parabiosis, when 1 animal of the pair was exposed to UV radiation. Material was collected every 6 h. Ions were marked by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Some 18 h after irradiation was begun, a similar rhythm of Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions was found for both mice joined by parabiosis.
