Phytochemical screening of 30 plants [angiosperms] indigenous to Sudan and of common use in Sudanese folk medicine, for the possible presence of the following active constituents, was carried out: sterols, triterpenes, alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids, saponins, cardiac and anthraquinone glycosides.
