Lack of subhourly variations in plasma unconjugated estriol levels in pregnant diabetic patients in the 3rd trimester

, : Lack of subhourly variations in plasma unconjugated estriol levels in pregnant diabetic patients in the 3rd trimester. American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology 137(5): 543-546

Analysis of 94 samples of blood collected from 5 pregnant diabetic patients in the 3rd trimester revealed that there were no significant subhourly variations in plasma unconjugated estriol levels. Single random samples of blood collected at the same time every day apparently are adequate for unconjugated estriol measurements to detect impending fetal jeopardy.
