Eight species are recognized in the subsection Scrobiculati in northwestern Europe: L. scrobiculatus (Scop.: Fr.) Fr., L. leonis Kytov. sp. nov. L. olivinus Kytov. sp. nov. L. tuomikoskii Kytov. sp. nov. L. auriolla Kytov. sp. nov. L. resimus (Fr.) Fr., L. aquizonatus Kytov. sp. nov. and L. citriolens Pouzar. Five of them are new and are described here. The distribution of each species in northwestern Europe is mapped, and their ecology and relationships are discussed. [A key is provided.].
