Lactate dehydrogenase activity in the swimbladder gas gland of symbolophorus evermanni myctophidae a diurnally migrating fish

, : Lactate dehydrogenase activity in the swimbladder gas gland of symbolophorus evermanni myctophidae a diurnally migrating fish. Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology A 59(1): 125-126

Within the gas gland of this fish, lactate dehydrogenase affinity for pyruvate increases considerably at pH 7.0 and 7.4 with decreasing temperature. At pH 8.0 the enzyme-substrate (E-S) affinity is decreased with decreasing temperature; the maximal reaction velocity decreases with decreasing pH and temperature. Adjustment of E-S affinity with changing temperature may be the result of the migration habits of these fish.

Background: The aim of this study is to report our use of new bioabsorbable screws in cervical anterior fusion. These screws need not be removed because they are completely absorbed by resolution in vivo. We describe our method and the new bioabs...

Of special concern is their relative safety compared with traditional synthetic and animal-derived v...
