Lactate dehydrogenase ec isozymes from the terrestrial isopod porcellio laevis porcellionidae isopoda physical and chemical properties

, : Lactate dehydrogenase ec isozymes from the terrestrial isopod porcellio laevis porcellionidae isopoda physical and chemical properties. Zoologica Poloniae 27(2): 161-178

Lactate dehydrogenase [LDH] from the body tissue of a 10th instar Porcellio was purified. The purified enzyme was a tetramer L-LDH with a MW of .apprx. 140,000 daltons. For optimal activity, the enzyme required a pH of 6.5, a temperature of C, 0.3 mg .beta.-NADH and a pyruvate concentration of 18.6 .times. 10-2 M.
