, : Lead cadmium arsenic copper zinc iron and manganese content in muscles of wild boar roe deer stags and elk. Bromatologia i Chemia Toksykologiczna 19(1): 32-36

During 1977-1983, a survey was conducted to determine the content of the titled metals in muscle tissues of wild boards, roe deers, stags, and one elk hunted in northern region of Poland. The following mean values were found: in 25-47 wild boars-lead 0.18 mg/kg, copper 1.6 mg/kg, zinc 33 mg/kg, cadmium 0.043 mg/kg, iron 74.0 mg/kg, manganese 0.72 mg/kg; in 28-39 roe deers-lead 0.19 mg/kg, copper 2.0 mg/kg, zinc 27.0 mg/kg, cadmium 0.06 mg/kg, iron 48.0 mg/kg, manganese 0.23 mg/kg; in 22-24 stags-lead 0.18 mg/kg, copper 1.7 mg/kg, zinc 29.0 mg/kg, cadmium 0.041 mg/kg, iron 66.0 mg/kg, manganese 0.25 mg/kg; in one elk-lead not detected, copper 2.6 mg/kg, zinc 44.0 mg/kg, cadmium, iron, and manganese not examined. In all samples under test arsenic was undetectable by the analytical method with a detection limit of 0.1 mg/kg.
