Micro distribution of benthic invertebrates in 2 salmonid streams of brittany france

, : Micro distribution of benthic invertebrates in 2 salmonid streams of brittany france. Annales d'Hydrobiologie 8(3): 319-332

The microdistribution of benthos is studied in 2 sections of salmonid streams of Brittany in relation to substratum type, current speed, depth and quantity of organic detritus. Preferences of the various taxa are given and discussed for both sections of the streams considered as a whole, then for each section. The importance of the effect of some environmental factors on benthos microdistribution and limits of an analysis parameter by parameter are discussed. A more comprehensive method of data analysis must be used.
