Parameters for assessing commensal rodent populations in rural ecological conditions

, : Parameters for assessing commensal rodent populations in rural ecological conditions. Proceedings of the Indian Academy of Sciences Section B 88(1 PART 3): 163-170

Rodent population size is mainly related to ecological conditions in rural dwellings. Each dwelling has its own ecosystem. Population size depends on varied habitats, food sources and status of santitation existing on the premises. A methodology was described to quantitate the above data. Parameters are not only useful for population assessment, but also for evolving a strategy for effective and successful rodent control.
