Parasites of the suslik citellus citellus at valu lui traian dobruja romania

, : Parasites of the suslik citellus citellus at valu lui traian dobruja romania. Analele Universitatii Bucuresti Biologie 26: 99-102

Susliks were captured for study of their parasites. A relatively small number of helminths were found: Hymenolepis megaloon (Linstow), H. straminea (Goeze), Moniliformis moniliformis (Meyer) and the larva of an unidentified nematode. H. megaloon was not previously known in Romania, Moldavia, Hungary or Czechoslovakia. Some authors consider this cestode synonymous with H. diminuta (Rudolphi) but the recent detailed analysis of the morphologic characteristics confirms the validity of H. megaloon.
