Resin hemo perfusion as treatment for theophylline induced seizures

, : Resin hemo perfusion as treatment for theophylline induced seizures. Chest 75(6): 741-742

Hemoperfusion with resin was used to treat a 63 yr old man with seizures secondary to theophylline intoxication. The patient illustrates the efficacy of treatment by resin hemoperfusion in this situation and emphasizes the risk of fixed theophylline dosage regimens and the necessity of onitoring plasma theophylline concentrations in acutely ill patients.
