Seed productivity of artemisia diffusa and artemisia turanica used for pasture improvement in the southwestern kyzyl kum ussr

, : Seed productivity of artemisia diffusa and artemisia turanica used for pasture improvement in the southwestern kyzyl kum ussr. Problemy Osvoeniya Pustyn' (2): 67-69

When investigating seed productivity of A. diffusa and A. turanica under natural conditions and in culture, it was established that the highest seed productivity is characteristic for hybrids originating from a cross between the 2 spp. under consideration. The productivity of the A. diffusa hybrid in culture was the highest. To establish a controlled Artemisia, pasture selection of Artemisia species possessing the highest seed productivity is recommended in order to organize seed-growing farms.
