Serum proteins in experimental theileria annulata infection of cattle

, : Serum proteins in experimental theileria annulata infection of cattle. Indian Journal of Animal Sciences 49(7): 511-516

Total serum protein and protein fractions were estimated quantitatively and qualitatively in experimentally induced acute and chronic T. annulata infection of cattle. In the acute phase of both types of infection hypoproteinemia was accompanied by an increase in .alpha. and .beta. globulin fractions. In the chronic phase these fractions approached normalcy but .gamma. globulin increased significantly.
