Some negative barriers apparent in school counseling and guidance practices in Turkey are mentioned. First, a general list of negative barriers in the schools was compiled from principals, counselors, and teachers; then the perceptions of the negative barriers by these groups were compared. Finally, some actions or remedies are suggested.
