Split course radio therapy of malignant melanoma and the mono block methods in the frame of a complex treatment

, : Split course radio therapy of malignant melanoma and the mono block methods in the frame of a complex treatment. Revista de Medicina Interna Neurologie Psihiatrie Neurochirurgie Dermato-Venerologie Serie Dermato-Venerologia 26(1): 35-42

Patients (158) with 1st or 2nd degree malignant melanoma were treated with electrosurgery, radiotherapy and immunotherapy. The radiotherapeutic types were as follows: split course (2 or 3 semi-deep roentgenotherapy sessions) and prophylactic monoblock irradiation (irradiating the excision scar, up to the area of the regional lymph nodes). Each method is only partially successful, but the patient must be taken individually.
