A modified method of Sharp was used to evaluate the manifestation of destructive changes in the hands and feet of 292 with proved rheumatoid arthritis. Recommendations are given for standardization of the patient's characteristics by the stage of the disease, the rate of erosive arthritis progressing and for objective evaluation of the effect of antirheumatic agents on the evolution rheumatoid arthritis.
