Studies on mandibular dynamics by pantographic investigation

, : Studies on mandibular dynamics by pantographic investigation. Revista de Chirurgie Oncologie Radiologie O R L Oftalmologie Stomatologie Seria Stomatologie 27(4): 277-282

Pantographs were used for the recording of mandibular dynamics in multiple planes. The centric relationship, as well as the trajectories of condylar displacement in the test movement frames was determined. A special pantograph was constructed. It was made of 2 facial arcs provided with special devices for fixation on the maxilla and mandible. The recording of pantographic tracings in a series of patients has revealed in some of the cases tracing asymmetries due to articular dysfunctions.
