Subjective errors in cover grade estimation methods with herbicide tests

, : Subjective errors in cover grade estimation methods with herbicide tests. Kulturpflanze 26: 105-132

Thirty-three herbicide products were tested by 14 persons using cover-rate estimation methods. Mean deviations between estimation values of trained personnel did not exceed 5% (cover-rate units), but reached up to 20% with untrained personnel. Relative estimation by range numbers yielded high conformity between all experimental persons. Within the range of 50% cover-grade, deviations were greater than with high cover-grades.
