Supported by the experience of the Paediatric, Surgical Clinic of Naples Ist. Faculty, the author reports the main forms of defecation pathology, of surgical interest, in paediatric age and, in the light of a manometric ano-rectal evaluation, he investigates their physiopathological features. The authors treats afterwards chronic constipation, megarectum, aganglionic megacolon and incontinence. In the light of the relevant physiopathological classification, the author illustrates the therapeutic principles therewith connected.
