Synthesis and biological activity of 6 x 2 4 r phenoxyacetylaminobenzothiazole derivatives

, : Synthesis and biological activity of 6 x 2 4 r phenoxyacetylaminobenzothiazole derivatives. Chemicke Zvesti 38(5): 693-698

6-X-2-(4-R-Phenoxyacetylamino)benzothiazoles were prepared by acylation of 6-X-2-aminobenzothiazole with phenoxyethanoyl chloride and 4-chlorophenoxyethanoyl chloride. The prepared amides were reduced with LiAlH4 and the structures of the products were confirmed by means of their IR and NMR spectra. The compounds were tested for herbicidal [against Avena sativa, Fagopyrum vulgare, Panicum miliaceum, Lepidium sativum, Sinapis alba, Brassica napus] and antifungal activities [against Trichophyton rubrum, T. megninii, T. mentagrophytes, T. verrucosum, T. violaceum, Microsporum gypsum, M. cookei and Epidermophyton floccosum]; some of them exhibited high herbicidal activity.
