The effect of atp therapy on the course of radiation hemorrhagic syndrome

, : The effect of atp therapy on the course of radiation hemorrhagic syndrome. Meditsinskaya Radiologiya 22(5): 84-86

Chronic radiation disease was induced in 40 rabbits with a single dosage of .gamma.-rays from 60Co totalling 600 R with a power of 118-140 R/min. ATP in a 0.85% solution of NaCl was given i.v. from days 3-6 after exposure 2 times/day at 0.5 mg/kg body weight. Determination of several indices of hemostasis and the process of recalcification indicated that ATP therapy reduced hemorrhagic manifestations and increased the functional activity of thrombocytes and thromboplastic activity of plasma, resulting in reduction of plasma recalcification time. Radiation thrombasthenia was greatly corrected by ATP administration.
