The effect of selected disinfectants on pseudomonas aeruginosa

, : The effect of selected disinfectants on pseudomonas aeruginosa. Medycyna Doswiadczalna i Mikrobiologia 29(3): 197-202

Some disinfectants, alone and combined with Triton X-100, were tested by the suspension method for their bactericidal effect on some strains of P. aeruginosa isolated from clinical material and from drugs. Triton X-100 did not potentiate the bactericidal activity of major part of the disinfectants tested. Chloramine B, Alhydex and Hibitane in very low concentrations showed bactericidal effect on P. aeruginosa, while Laurosept, Desson and Sterinol were not effective as disinfectants.
