The first step of development of the project micha microbiology charite for computer supported data processing of clinical microbiological routine data data registration structure of data bank

, : The first step of development of the project micha microbiology charite for computer supported data processing of clinical microbiological routine data data registration structure of data bank. Zeitschrift fuer die Gesamte Hygiene und ihre Grenzgebiete 34(2): 143-145

The volume of test materials submitted per year from clinical ranges to the dignostic laboratories of the Medical Microbiology as well as the continuously increasing number of tests and their results can no longer be worked up without the support of the electronic data processing (EDV). Extensive analyses and examinations only can be realized by means of high temporal and personal expenses. The clinicians' actual demand for information only can be answered by an extreme expense of forces. The diagnostics and therapy can on the part of microbiology in general not be supported by actual aids. The data shall be stored and registered by means of the EDV so that these are available for evaluations of every kind and at every time, that the clinician's demand for information can be matched, decisive aids for the clinic are granted and that labours can be released from temporal and personal-intensive, manual occupations for the essential process of works.
