Thermostability of malate dehydrogenase iso enzymes from cucumber cucumis sativus and melon cucumis melo leaves

, : Thermostability of malate dehydrogenase iso enzymes from cucumber cucumis sativus and melon cucumis melo leaves. Fiziologiya Rastenii (Moscow) 29(6): 1037-1044

Three malate dehydrogenase isoenzymes were found in cucumber and melon leaf extracts by chromatography on DEAE-cellulose. Each isoenzyme showed 1 band on polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The electrophoretic mobility of individual isoenzymes differed between the plant species. The thermostability of total enzyme fractions and of individual enzymes was higher in melon than in cucumber, indicating the difference in the heat-loving nature of the 2 spp.
