Ecological model of nutrients microorganisms and enzymatic activity of soil in a cerrado area treated with vinasse corumbatai san paulo brazil

, : Ecological model of nutrients microorganisms and enzymatic activity of soil in a cerrado area treated with vinasse corumbatai san paulo brazil. Revista de Microbiologia 21(1): 99-108

The effect of annual cumulative doses of vinasse on eighteen parameters in reddish-yellow latosol medium texture, 0-15 cm deep, in a cerrado area located at Corumbatai city, Sao Paulo state, was studied. Air temperature and relative air mixture were determined during the sampling periods. Monthly soil samples and meteorological measurements were taken from 1983 to 1986. The soil parameters measured were: temperature by 5 and 20 cm deep, moisture, potassium, magnesium, calcium, aluminium, phosphorus, organic carbon contents, total N and organic contents, cation exchange capacity, pH, C/N rate and cellulase, amylase, infertase and urease activities were determined as well as the bacteria, actinomycetes and filamentous fungi colony forming units. The results obtained were analysed by test of variance and turkey tests. The vinasse caused an increase in the values of the pH, cation exchange capacity, potassium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus contents, amylase and cellulase activities and number of filamentous fungi. An alteration in the number and diversity of fungi was found, as well as a decrease on the exchangeable aluminium content. For the others, the vinasse caused decreased in number of actinomycetes. Through the correlation coefficient method it was possible to stablish two ecological models: one to the control area and another to the area treated with cumulative doses of vinasse, yearly applied from 1980 to 1986. The correlations found in the control area and the modifications in the soil treted with the waste were discussed. The vinasse brought about changes in the ion correlations, but not for the microorganisms and the enzymatic activities.
