Gonadotropin secretion in the amenorrhea due to weight loss

, : Gonadotropin secretion in the amenorrhea due to weight loss. Journal of Gynaecological Endocrinology 6(1-4): 57-60

The authors studied the gonadotropin secretion in 6 patients with amenorrhea due to weight loss. In these patients basal serum levels of FSH and LH below the norm were observed; the frequency and amplitude of the LH pulses proved significantly reduced; the gonadotropin response to GnRh proved to be within the normal range.
