Gossypol ether imines

, : Gossypol ether imines. Khimiya Prirodnykh Soedinenii (3): 358-363

Gosypol methyl ether imines were synthesized for the first time. Their structure was confirmed by UV and PMR spectra. The immunomodulatory activity of the compounds was tested in sheep erythrocytes. Some of the compounds exhibit stimulatory properties but some of them inhibit the primary immune response. It was shown that dimethyl ether imines exists in a quinoid form but gossypol hexamethyl ether imine is found in a benzoid form.
