Hearing aid prescription with extreme high frequency and extreme low frequency losses

, : Hearing aid prescription with extreme high frequency and extreme low frequency losses. Australian Journal of Audiology 10(2): 103-108

The gain by frequency predicted in a hearing aid prescriptive fitting procedure was determined for four extreme hearing loss patterns. The degree to which the resultant aided responses provide for the threshold to be above soft and loud speech was investigated. It is concluded that the fitting method under study provides for appropriate gain at most frequencies.
