Mnestic performances evaluation before and after short general anesthesia propofol versus thiopentone

, : Mnestic performances evaluation before and after short general anesthesia propofol versus thiopentone. Acta Anaesthesiologica Italica 41(1): 107-111

We studied memories behaviour such recent as after input repetition before and after general anaesthesia. We studied 40 young women anaesthetized no more than 15 minutes in gynaecologic surgery. We random divided the women in two groups: the first (group A) treated only with propofol, the second (group B) treated only with thiopental. Both groups compared also with control-group having the same peculiarities. Our results could show that memories functions are better preserved when propofol is the only anaesthetic agent used.
