Origin and evolution of legume rhizobial symbiosis

, : Origin and evolution of legume rhizobial symbiosis. Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR Seriya Biologicheskaya (1): 77-87

Different ways of origin of root nodule bacteria have been analyzed. Evolution of legume-rhizobial symbiosis is a result of coevolution of the nodule bacteria and host plants. Host plant plays the leading part in coevolution. Coevolution mechanisms in parasitic and symbiotic systems have been compared.
