Peculiarities of the structure of acid soils with differentiated profile

, : Peculiarities of the structure of acid soils with differentiated profile. Pochvoznanie i Agrokhimiya 25(4): 31-35

Representative profiles of acid soils with texture differentiation have been investigated from areas with natural forest-and-steppe vegetation. On the basis of data about the aggregation of the soil particles (Ia), volume of aeration pores with > 30 .mu.m efficient diameter and filtration capacity of the individual generic horizons of the profiles, an evaluation is made of the structure of the soils and the necessity of improving these. A trend is found towards deterioration of the structure of the soil through intensification of the degree of leaching.
