Sarcocystis infection in stray dogs in apsheron peninsula azerbaijan ssr ussr

, : Sarcocystis infection in stray dogs in apsheron peninsula azerbaijan ssr ussr. Izvestiya Akademii Nauk Azerbaidzhanskoi SSR Seriya Biologicheskikh Nauk (1): 32-38

Data were presented on the frequency of the ocurrence of spontaneous Sarcocystis infection in 175 stray dogs. The extension and intensity of the infection were studied as a function of seasons and hosts' habitats. Nonsporulated sporocysts were found. Apparently, a complete sporulation of oocysts (sporocysts) in the intestine of carnivorous animals cannot be considered a stable characteristics of the genus Sarcocyctis.
