Structural characteristics of bacterioplankton and detritus in mesotrophic and eutrophic bodies of water

, : Structural characteristics of bacterioplankton and detritus in mesotrophic and eutrophic bodies of water. Biologicheskie Nauki (Moscow) (11): 67-72

The number of detritus particles in the water of meso- and eutrophic reservoirs changed in the limits of 5-19 th/ml (64-68% - the size of particles up to 10 mkm, 31-35% - 10-50 mkm). 1-4 bacterial cells were on the particles with size up to 10 mkm, on the larger particles - 7-11 cells on the average. Isolated cells contained about 84-88% of bacteria, the colonial ones - 11-14%, the cells fastened to planktonic deteritus were about 1%. The total quantity of bacteria living in sedimentation detritus was in the limits of 0.63-3 million cells/g of its fresh weight.
